un saluto, con l’augurio che stiate tutti bene. Come vi ho detto qualche giorno fa il mese scorso c’è stato uno scontro a fuoco a Galkayo. in diverse occasioni ci sono stati spari che hanno causato morti. Gruppi di persone sono state spostato, e la stima delle autorità e delle agenzie umanitarie è attorno a 75.000. La maggior parte dei colpiti sono dei campi IDP che si trovano ad affrontare un ulteriore spostamento. Due delle nostre scuole (il Centro principale GECPD e Buulo Baaley) sono stati bersaglio della situazione ma le altre scuole, comprese Halabookhad, Harfo e Baadweyn, continuano l’attività. Qualcuno del nostro staff ha dovuto evacuare la famiglia, ma noi restiamo al sicuro e i programmi proseguono. Speriamo e preghiamo perché la situazione ritorni al più presto alla normalità. Vi terremo informati sugli sviluppi.

Dear Mari Dozio and Maria Teresa,
Greetings hoping that you are all doing well. Yes. As I informed you a few days ago, there has been a conflict in Galkayo over the past month. On several occasions, the two worrying sides have exchanged fire that has led to several deaths. populations have been displaced and estimates by authorities and humanitarian agencies put it at about 75,000. Most of those affected are IDPs who are facing secondary displacement. Two of our schools (GECPD Main Center and Buulo Baaley) have been affected adversely by the situation but the rest of the schools including Halabookhad, Harfo and Baadweyn are still going on. Several of our staff have had to evacuate their families but we remain safe and programmes are still going on. We hope and pray that things return to normal as soon as possible. We will keep you posted of any developments.
